Macri confirms Vidal for mayoral bid
City Mayor Mauricio Macri'' and city Social Development minister María Eugenia Vidal.
Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri announced that the current city Social Development minister María Eugenia Vidal will accompany him at the race for the mayoral elections to be held on July 10, when he will try to achieve his re-election.
As he had previously assured, Macri made the official announcement after 8pm via his Twitter and Facebook account.
Earlier, sources had said that Vidal was the name heard at the City Hall for a long time, but Macri had finally decided in the last moment. Among other candidates appeared city Minister of Public Spaces, Diego Santilli, and city Culture and Tourism Minister, Hernán Lombardi.
