Merval drops

The panel of leading stocks index dropped by 0.3 percent to 3,378.18 points. The local deficit accompanies the negative tendencies of other foreign markets.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose by 1.2% to 574 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The US currency traded for AR$4.115/AR$4.07, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian Bovespa dropped 1.2 percent to 63,241.30 points.
