Merval drops
The panel of leading stocks index lowered 1.1 percent to 3,384.57 points. Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose 0.3 percent to 586 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US dollar traded for $4.07/$4.115 pesos, increasing half a cent compared with the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
