Tomada, Boudou and Filmus lead electoral rally, blast Macri
Victory Front mayoral pre-candidates Amado Boudou, Daniel Filmus and Carlos Tomada led a rally and vowed to enact the policities of President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in the City, regardless of whoever is chosen to run.
The Economy Minister, the senator and the Labour Minister agreed in their criticisms to Mayor Mauricio Macri’s administration.
“We will show that we can work together," Boudou said, adding that in case of a run-off he would like to see the Victory Front party joining forces with several other parties to beat Mauricio Macri.
“I don’t understand why PRO activists celebrated Macri's decision last Saturday. Macri lost his presidential bid, and Cristina won by default. We won’t win by points, but by votes. We need a City administration that is based on social sensitivity and and efficiency,” Filmus said.
Boudou also criticized Macri’s campaign launch: “Mauricio Macri is a reality that offends us, but can be changed. City residents shouldn’t give up. This can be changed through politics.”
At the same time, Tomada said that the City neighbours show "sadness and disappointment" and ask for a new government from a new party. “And that party is the Victory Front.”
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is expected to decide whether Tomada, Boudou or Filmus will run as the Victory Front’s mayoral candidate in the July 10th elections as soon as next week.
