Multiple car accidents leave three dead, many injured

A provincial police officer and a friend were killed this morning, while another officer and a fourth person were injured after a car lost control and turned over, while the group were returning from a birthday party from Buenos Aires province area of Pilar to Lezama, police officials informed.

The accident occurred between 2AM and 3AM this morning along route 57, in the outer areas of Lezama. Police are still investigating the cause of the car’s loss of control.

In San Justo, also in Buenos Aires province, one person died, and four people injured after two vehicles crashed into one another  The crash occurred along Juan Manuel de Rosas Avenue on the junction with Monseñor Marcón, police officials informed.

The accident occurred at 4.50AM at the intersection of Provincias Unidad and Arieta (Route 3) in San Justo, where two cars collided, causing one of the vehicles to tumble and overturn. One of the vehicles did not receive grave damage, but the other was completely crushed after overturning.

Police and La Matanza voluntary firemen were working at the scene, police sources informed. Firefighters informed that on trying to save the victims from the vehicles, a young person died and four were injured. They were directly taken to the local hospital to be treated.

The traffic was cut off surrounding the scene of the incident, and caused some traffic delays.
