Merval edges down slightly
The panel of leading stocks index decreased 0.7 percent to 3,352.22 points. Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk increased 1.6 percent to 564 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency traded for AR$4.11/AR$4.07, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance edged down 1.1 percent to 63,608.30 points.
Meanwhile, the US dollar rose by 1 percent to R$1.605 on the local spot market.
