Garré skips Upper House special insecurity meeting
Security Minister Nilda Garré
Security Minister Nilda Garré was absent from a meeting in the Senate's Justice and Legal Issues Comittee, to which she had been invited to give her opinion regarding a draft bill seeking to declare the state of emergency regarding citizen security issues.
However, the committee led by Senator Sonia Escudero began to debate the draft bill this afternoon with the presence of former pilot and filmmaker Enrique Piñeyro, and without Garré.
The draft bill seeks to implement a series of measures including the building and refurbishment of prisons in order to allocate criminals.
