Merval edges up
The panel of leading stocks index rose by 0.9 percent to 3,406.02 points. Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 1.6% to 554 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency traded for AR$4.11/AR$4.07, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
The Brazilian Bovespa increased 0.7 percent and stood at 66,132.86 points.
