Sanz withdraws from presidential race
Radical Party’s Senator, Ernesto Sanz, announced he withdraws from the presidential race and stated in a communiqué that he will support Ricardo Alfonsín’s candidacy because he is “the party’s representative who has more possibilities to win.”
“Taking into account that Alfonsín is the main representative of the country who has more possibilities in the election, I’ve decided to withdraw and allow him to represent the Radical Party,” Sanz stated.
The senator added that his way of “supporting the Radical Party and the country is to accompany the candidate and the party in this process.”
Almost a month a ago, Vice-President Julio Cobos announced he stepped down from the presidential race, so the son of the ex president currently is the only candidate of the Radical Party for the presidential election to be held in October.
