Scioli urges the opposition 'not to underestimate' him
Buenos Aires province Daniel Scioli governor asked people “no to underestimate” him and insisted that he will have “total freedom” to choose his running mate in light of the upcoming gubernatorial elections.
Scioli added that the “is not worried” neither about what happens with the opposition, which he sees as “dismantled” and with an eventual combined list ballot featuring President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and New Encounter lawmaker Martin Sabatella running as a gubernatorial candidate for Buenos Aires province.
Scioli clarified that he will choose his running mate himself, regardless of the pressure of the Victory Front and union sectors.
“At this point I´m being underestimated, after eight years… I’ve heard this over and over again,” he answered when asked if he had “freedom” to make his choice had.
“I work with total freedom, but also with total commitment, considering what’s best for the Province and trying to articulate it with what’s best for Argentina,” he said.
“I think the opposition is having trouble in the task of creating a proposal that people can be enthusiastic about and give their support to,”, he concluded.
