'The debt changed the lives of the Argentine people,' CFK
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner affirmed that the “major part of the country’s indebtedness was generated during the last military dictatorship, that changed the lives of the Argentines,” during the presentation of series of documentaries about the foreign debt produced by the University of Buenos Aires' Economics School.
The Head of State assured during a rally at the Government House that “we did not talk about bonds or titles in the past, everything began after the financial reform of Martínez de Hoz. The logic and the industrialization and working process initiated by the Peronism were broken.”
“This logic was abandoned. That’s why, this work of the Economics School is a great effort to unravel why did these things happen,” she continued.
Earlier, Fernández de Kirchner presented the “Meat for Everybody” programme at the Government House, but did not give an official speech or announcement over Guillermo Moreno’s plan. Instead, the Head of State bought meat at the mobile butcher’s store staged at Plaza Garay square.
The President chose several beef cuts like asado, vacío and milanesa, and when she was about to pay she called the general presidential secretary, Oscar Parrilli, to pay for what she had bought.
“Meat for Everybody” is a new initiative of the government similar as the “Hake for Everybody” launched last year.
During the summer, the president also presented the “Milanesas for Everybody” plan, which offered this product with a lower cost at the Mercado Central.
