Merval shows drop
The Merval panel of leading stocks index edged down 0.37 percent to 3,401.15 points.
Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk gained 0.92 percent and stood at 547 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency traded for $4.06/$4.10 pesos, gained one cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and foreign exchange houses in Buenos Aires downtown.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance dropped 0.13 percent to 66,972.40 points.
