Flights delayed in Metropolitan Airport due to bad weather conditions
Flights were delayed -and in some cases, cancelled- in the Aeroparque Metropolitan Airport due to inclement weather conditions and because of the increase in the amount of flights due to the beginning of the Easter weekend holiday, ANAC Civil Aviation National Administration reported.
The delays in flights to Rosario city in Santa Fe province and Uruguayan capital Montevideo were delayed due to bad weather conditions in those cities and not because of union conflicts, the ANAC clarified.
The Uruguayan air control organization requested that the time between incoming flights is extended, because of poor weather conditions as well.
Due to Easter weekend beginning on Thursday, more than 2.5 million people are expected to travel along the country to different touristic spots.
