Merval edges up
The panel of leading stocks index gained 2.5% to 3,413.94 points.
Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk remained at 1.1% with 541 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency traded for AR$4.10/AR$4.06, remaining equal to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance increased 1.4 percent to 67,056.50 points. It has dropped 3.2% so far in 2011.
Meanwhile, the US dollar fell 0.3% to R$1.571 on the local spot market.
