CFK to resume her duties after low blood pressure scare
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is to resume her activities on Monday after spending a weekend in her private residence in El Calafate, where she recovered from a case of low blood pressure that she suffered last Tuesday.
Fernández de Kirchner is expected to sign into law the bill authorizing pregnant women to receive a $220 monthly stipend if they are unemployed or receive salaries below the poverty line.
The president announced the bill on March 1st as she inaugurated the 2011 congressional sessions. The law will be in effect after May 1st.
On Tuesday, the President will also fly to Santiago del Estero and return to the city of Buenos Aires in order to attend a ceremony at the Luna Park arena in order to celebrate the launch of a National Plan of Agriculture.
Fernández de Kirchner had to cancel her visit to Mexico last Tuesday after doctors diagnosed her with low blood pressure levels.
