Merval remains stable
The panel of leading stocks index remained stable at 3,381.25 points. Meanwhile, local bonds gained up to 1.8 percent.
The dollar-denominated Par bond increased 1.8 percent; the peso-denominated Discount bond, 0.7 percent.
Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk dipped slightly to 528 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency traded for AR$4.09/AR$4.045, increasing by half a cent, compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance rose 0.6 percent to 66,684.20 points. It has dropped 3.8 percent so far in 2011.
Meanwhile, the US dollar fell 0.2 percent to R$1.577 on the local spot market.
