Silva leads Vélez into Libertadores last 16
Vélez Sársfield crushed the leader of the Group 4, Venezuela’s Caracas, 3-0 and achieved the pre-quarter finals of the Libertadores de América Cup in the second place along with Chile's Universidad Católica.
Vélez's Maximiliano Moralez opened the score at 20' of the first half, while his teammate Santiago Silva netted the second goal only one minute after the beginning of the second half, and the third one nine minutes later.
The game began at 8:30pm and was held at the Brígido Iriarte stadium in Caracas.
