CFK to meet with re-elected Urtubey at Gov’t House
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is to meet with Salta’s re-elected Governor, Juan Manuel Urtubey today at the Government House.
Urtubey is to arrive at 6.30PM today for a meeting, following his electoral triumph at the elections on Sunday in Salta, where he ended with 57.76 of the votes over opponent, the centre-right lawmaker Alfredo Olmedo.
The recently re-elected Governor of Salta also expressed his support for the President today during an interview, in that if she decides to present herself for re-election in October, remarking “her deciding to re-run will be hugely important for the country and for the constant battle being fought in politics.” He also said that from the point of Peronism, "we have no other alternative than her."
He also mentioned during a press interview that he would like to run for president in 2015.
Earlier today, Urturbey had commented on the CGT boss Hugo Moyano’s behaviour, after he had blasted him during the Salta elections and said, “more limits should be put on Moyano.”
“He got involved in the campaign, and organised events which went against the provincial government. I’m not annoyed, in fact the opposite. Moyano has a very different view to me. That’s democracy,” affirmed Urtubey.
