'Boudou goes 'mano-a-mano' with Twitter users; blasts opposition

Economy Minister Amado Boudou met with many of his Twitter followers in a special Q&A event named “Boudou 2.0,” in the city neighbourhood of San Telmo.

While addressing the audience, Boudou defended President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's agenda, saying that the National Government "was like a rockstar."

"We're not afraid of the powerful people, and it's the younger generations that are helping us move forward, all together," he said.

Among the presents was unionist Julio Piumato, Public Works Secretary Abel Fatala, and Latin America first gay marriage members Alex Freyre and José María Di Bello.

Boudou also blasted City Mayor Mauricio Macri. "If hes a paradigm for order and cleanliness... God help us all," he stated.

“This is a meeting that I created in order to meet with the tweeting community. For months, my followers have demanded to meet with me and I thought it would a good idea to do so,” Boudou posted on his Twitter account to his more than 60,000 followers before the event.

“Anyone who wants to ask a question or make a comment will be able to do so, it doesn’t matter if they’re present or watching the event online,” he had tweeted before the event began.

The Q&A took place at the Espacio Samsung centre, on Pasaje 5 de Julio 4440, in San Telmo. The place was chosen due to its Wi-Fi connectivity, and those unable to attend, were able to follow the event via Twitter or video streaming at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/boudou20

The questions were picked randomly by a computer from the thousands received from Boudou's Twitter followrs during the past few days. Funny though, all questions picked were more than affable.
