Chubut's provincial Court annuls Puerto Madryn's precinct
Chubut’s High Court confirmed the annulment of the Puerto Madryn’s 174 precinct after an unanimous vote, the issue will now be discussed in the Provincial Electoral Court.
The ruling signed by Judges Jorge Pfleger, José Luis Pasutti, Fernando Royer, Daniel Rebagliatti Russel and Alejandro Panizzi and also by Adrián Vergara, who subrogated Daniel Caneo, was published during the afternoon.
It is the first ruling of the High Court over the five precincts annuled after the March 20 election, which were sent to the provincial court after the PJ-Modelo Chubut bloc appealed.
The Provincial Electoral Court will now decide if it calls for a complementary election, taking into account that the city mayor category has not been defined yet, due to the difference of only 31 votes between both candidates, Ricardo Sastra (PJ) and Ricardo Lázaro (FPV).
The court will also define the situation over other four annuled precincts, and other five that were appealed by the Victory Front.
After three weeks, the winner of the election could not be defined due to irregularities and a slight difference between both candidates.
