Economy Minister Amado Boudou.

Economy Minister Amado Boudou estimated today that economic growth, recorded at 4.5%, “could be exceeded”, and at the same time underlined that neither companies nor their workers have “any doubt or fear” over the presidential elections this year affecting the economy.

“Our economic growth for this year reached 4.5 percent, included in the 2011 Budget; however we are seeing that the economy is experiencing a favourable turn,” considered Boudou while being interviewed.

Boudou also said that “the domestic economy posted a sustained fiscal surplus in the first quarter of the year,” and added that, “The real economy also showed a positive tendency."
