Merval increases 0.7%

The panel of leading stocks index increased 0.7 percent to 3,480.39 points. Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk declined 1.4 percent, stood at 507 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The US currency traded for AR$4.075/AR$4.035, dropped half a cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and foreign exchange houses in Buenos Aires downtown.

The Brazilian currency increased 0.6 percent to 1.574 per US dollar on the local spot market. Meanwhile, Brazil's Bovespa stock index dropped 0.7 percent.
