'Argentina and Israel share an unbreakable bond,' Timerman

Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman

Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman said that “Argentina and Israel are two countries that are friends with each other, who cooperate between them and hold an unbreakable bond,” before he is due to start an official visit to that country.

“We aim to deepen the bilateral relationship between Argentina and Israel,” Timerman stated.

Timerman shall meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit. Last week, Foreign Minister was under fire when Perfil newspaper reported that Timerman offered Iran leaders to stop the Amia and Israeli bombing probes in exchange of trade agreements.

AMIA jewish community leaders and Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmoor urged Timerman explain himself.  Thus far, Foreign Minister hasn’t neither denied nor confirmed Perfil’s reports.
