Ecuador presents first satellite to look at Earth from space
The Ecuadorean Civil Space Agency (EXA), directed by Ecuador’s first astronaut Ronnie Nader, will officially present a small satellite for Ecuadoreans and overall, for students to be able to look at Earth from space.
The satellite NEE-01 PEGASO Project, set up by EXA, will be presented on Monday in Guayaquil city.
It is expected that the satellite which has been elaborated with national technology can be launched in 2012.
Ecuadorean Nader returned five years ago to his country after he graduated in Russia in order to begin with several missions, among them, the creation of the Agencia and the elaboration of an Ecuadorean Space Program.
