A 5.9 earthquake struck northern Chile, no damage reported
A magnitude 5.9 quake struck northern Chile today but the Chilean emergency office ONEMI said there were no reports of damage.
The US Geological Survey said the quake was centered 84 miles (135 km) northeast of Iquique and had a depth of 51.8 miles (83.3 km).
