UCR Electoral Board proclaims Alfonsín's candidacy

Radical Party’s National Electoral Board decided to proclaim Ricardo Alfonsín as the bloc’s presidential candidate, after Ernesto Sanz announced he was not going to participate in the internal elections that were going to be held on April 30.

Although the board headed by Norberto Rinaldi announced the measure after a long meeting, the party’s Federal Committee must ratify the decision next Thursday.

The Board will “communicate its decisión to the National Committee,” that will meet on June to approve the electoral platform and the political alliances.
