Merval increases 2.5%

The panel of leading stocks index increased 2.5 percent to 3,471.95 points. Meanwhile, the country-risk fell 4.8 percent in the JP Morgan EMBI+ index and stood at 513 basis points.

The US currency traded for AR$4.075/AR$4.035, gained half a cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.

The Brazilian Bovespa gained 1 percent and stood at 69,268.69 points. Meanwhile, the US dollar declined 1.2 percent to R$1.612 on the local spot market.
