CFK met with President Václav Klaus, praised export growth
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner received Czech Republic President Václav Klaus today at the Government House for a meeting, and underlined the “growth Argentina has seen in its exports.” She further mentioned that “this year we will exceed USD$75 million in exports.”
President Klaus arrived to the Casa Rosada after midday to attend a short meeting before going to lunch with the Argentine President. During his reception ceremony members of the Cabinet were present, such as: Cabinet Chief Aníbal Fernández, Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman, Planning Minister Julio De Vido, Defense Minister Arturo Puricelli and the general presidential secretary, Oscar Parrilli.
The meeting was put into place to improve the relationship between Argentina and the Czech Republic. After they met briefly in the Government House, the presidential pair moved off to the San Martín Palace for lunch, where Cristina Kirchner spoke in honour Czech businessmen, wanting to “expand movement and business opportunities” between the two countries. During their meeting they also discussed bilateral ties between the two nations.
