Chávez to begin South America tour in Buenos Aires

Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez reported he will begin in Buenos Aires his trip to Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia and Colombia to strengthen bilateral relationships with these countries.

Chávez announced he will arrive in Buenos Aires on Monday to meet his counterpart Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

“I’ll be there with you, Cristina,” he assured and added he is confident on Fernández de Kirchner’s victory in the next presidential elections of Argentina.

The President reported he will visit Uruguay on Tuesday, where he will meet his counterpart José “Pepe” Mujica and will “later meet Evo Morales in Cochabamba.”

Chávez indicated that he will continue his trip in Cartagena, where he will interview Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos.
