Duhalde assures 'it would be a shame' to suspend primaries
Ex President Eduardo Duhalde answered Felipe Solá and assured it “would be a shame” to suspend the internal elections of the Federal Peronism that will take part within the next weeks.
Duhalde justified that without the internal elections “it would be very difficult, practically impossible to reach an agreement” to define who will fight for achieving the Government House.
“We can’t see a better way to elect a candidate,” the ex president continued. For the moment, he will only face Alberto Rodríguez Saá in the internal election that will begin on April 3 in Buenos Aires.
Solá had claimed for a “re-discussion” because they were “giving a head start” to the Kirchnerite bloc due to the lack of a “firm candidate.”
Solá and Mario Das Neves decided not to participate in the internal election and are analyzing the chance of competing directly in August 14 primaries.
