Investigation opened following death of Met police officer
The Federal Police announced that they are holding an investigation over the death of a Metropolitan Police officer, whose body was found inside her flat in the neighbourhood of Balvanera with a shot wound to the chest.
According to sources, the female officer aged 24 had been talking to her boyfriend little before she was shot. The incident took place on Wednesday night along Saavedra Street at 400, when locals called the Federal Police.
Officials entered the flat, and discovered the body of the woman in the living room, metres away from where the gun was found. The first assumptions on the cause of her death have been put down to suicide; however she could have been a victim of homicide. The body is to be examined by Forensics before a conclusion will be met.
