Vélez defeat Unión Española

Vélez Sársfield defeated Chile’s Unión Española 2-1 in the fourth round of Group 4 of the Libertadores Cup. The game was held at the José Amalfitani Stadium.

Emiliano Papa netted Vélez goal at 23' of the first half, but Unión Española's Leandro Delgado managed to tie the score at 33'.

At 23' of the second half, Vélez's Santiago Silva netted his team's second goal.

Vélez won in its debut against Caracas (3-0), but was defeated by both Chilean teams Universidad Católica (3-4) and Unión Española (1-2).
