Recount of Chubut votes favours Das Neves ally
The recount of Chubut’s votes showed a slight difference with Sunday’s gubernatorial election results. Victory Front candidate Carlos Eliceche recovered 140 votes which had been wrongly accounted for and gained further 121 votes.
However, figures still benefit Das Neves ally Martin Buzzi, who won by les than 1 percent of votes.
Although the Victory Front party had requested the recounting of the total amount of votes, a Chubut electoral court denied the petition. Only those polls which featured irregularities will be recounted.
The recount of votes could last up to ten days.
