Merval shows slight drop
The panel of leading stocks index lost 0.34 percent to 3,321.54 points.
Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk increased 0.9 percent to 582 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency trades for $4.065/$4.025 pesos, remains unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance gained 1.33 percent to 67,578.31 points. It has dropped 3.9% so far in 2011.
Meanwhile, the US dollar fell 0.2% to R$1.664 on the local spot market.
