'Boudou is fake and his pro-US statements prove it,' Redrado
Former Central Bank governor Martin Redrado said that Economy Minister Amado Boudou "phonier than Las Vegas," due to his alleged statements during meetings with US diplomats that were revealed by Wikileaks.
“Boudou’s statements to the US Embassy show he is phonier than Las Vegas”, Redrado wrote in his Twitter account.
In a November 5th 2009 wire, US Ambassador in Argentina Vilma Martínez said that Boudou considers himself “staunchly pro-US” and that the United States is his favourite place to spend his holidays, but does not want that information to become public.
During the same meeting, Boudou said that Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner’s administration is not willing to pay the “enormous political cost” of improving the National Statistics Bureau methodology of measuring inflation would imply.
According to the wire, Boudou said that the government can not face "controversial issues" such as the problems with Indec National Statisics Bureau.
