CFK highlights poultry sector's growth
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner durind the inauguration of Gran Tres Arroyos'' new plant.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner reported that Argentina has almost doubled the consumption of chicken between 2003 and 2011, as it has increased from 20 to 38 kilos per person, during the inauguration of the new plant of Gran Tres Arroyos Company in Pilar district, Buenos Aires province.
During her speech, the Head of State highlighted the “added value” of the poultry industry.
“We need the businessmen’s commitment,” Fernández de Kirchner assured and also highlighted the State’s funds to support the industrial production. She added that in the framework of the Bicentenary project, the poultry sector was the second most important after the car sector.
