Foreign tourism increases 14% in January
The amount of tourists that arrived in Argentina during January increased 14 percent compared to the same month of 2010, according to a government report.
The National Statistics Bureau said that the expense of tourists was of US$376.2 million, 8.9 percent increase in comparison with January 2010.
In January, 196.652 Argentine citizens travelled abroad, a 20.9 percent higher than the figures reported on January 2010.
The total expense of Argentine citizens abroad dropped, 0.9 percent, to US$194 million.
The information is gathered from in the arrivals and departures at Ezeiza and Jorge Newbery airports, which are the main routes of access route to Argentina.
