Merval falls
The panel of leading stocks index declines 1.3 percent to 3,357.99 points.
Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk stands at 579 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance rose 0.7 percent to 67,169.25 points.
It has dropped 1.6 percent so far the current month; 4.3 percent in 2011.
The US currency trades for $4.06/$4.02 pesos, remains unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
