One policeman hurt after clash between squatters, Met Police

As the fourth day since the squatters illegally broke into the Avellaneda Park homes comes to an end, a sudden clash between them and several Metropolitan Police officers left one official injured, sources confirmed.

The incident took place when some of the squatters began attacking the policemen with stones in order to create a diversion that would allow for more people to break into the homes.

As a result, one of the officers was hit on the face.

In the end, the policemen managed to stop the others from entering the premises, although they were also attacked by squatters who were throwing stones at them through the windows.

Meanwhile, the court order asking for the immediate removal of the squatters from the home remains in effect and Metropolitan Police officers are posted outside the park’s perimeter.
