Merval, local bonds drop

The panel of leading stocks index declined 1.5 percent to 3,405.92 points.

The peso-denominated Discount bond fell 1.8 percent; Boden 2015, 0.3 percent; GDP-linked warrant, 0.3 percent.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk increased 0.4 percent to 563 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The US currency traded for AR$4.06/AR$4.02, remained unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.

Meanwhile, the euro dropped three cents to AR$5.60/AR$5.49.

The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance declined 1.8 percent to 66,040.66 points. It has dropped 4.7 percent so far in 2011.

Meanwhile, the US dollar gained 0.2 percent to R$1.661 on the local spot market.
