Argentinos beat Nacional, lead Group 3
The leader of the Libertadores Cup’s group 3, Argentinos Juniors defeated Uruguay’s Nacional 1-0 at the Parque Central stadium.
Argentinos' Franco Niell netted the only goal of the match at 21' of the first half.
The champion of the 1985 Libertadores Cup, Argentinos, leads the zone with four points after a tie and a victory, while Nacional, the winner of the cup in 1971, 1980 and 1988, only has one point.
Mexico’s América (3 points) and Brazil’s Fluminense (2) are also part of the group.
Argentinos draw 2-2 with Fluminense in Río de Janeiro and later defeated América 3-1.
Meanwhile, Nacional has been defeated 2-0 by América and draw without goals with Fluminense.
