CFK announces financial compensation for Somisa workers

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced the government would financially compensate workers from the former state iron and steel factory Somisa and new plans to reactivate the area near the plant in San Nicolás city.

During a rally held at the Government House, the Head of State had a video-conference with the mayor of San Nicolás, Marcelo Carignani, and announced the reactivation of the Route 188 and improvement of port access.

The president announced the payment of financial compensation for 7,200 ex workers of Somisa, who were not included in the Participated Property Program settled when the company was privatized in 1990.
