Merval edges down slightly
The panel of leading stocks index declined 0.01 percent at 3,426.28 points.

The American currency traded for AR$4.06/AR$4.015, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaux de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance increased 1.6 percent to 66,281.51 points. It has dropped 2.9 percent so far in 2011.
Meanwhile, the US dollar dropped 0.2 percent and stood at R$1.660 on the local spot market.
