Merval drops 0.8%
The panel of leading stocks index dropped 0.8 percent to 3,426.86 points in the second trading session of the week.
The US currency traded for $4.06/$4.015 pesos, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and bureaus de change in Buenos Aires downtown.
Meanwhile, the euro stood at $5.59/$5.48 pesos.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance dropped 1.7 percent to 66,242.63 points.
