ONCCA dissolution a ‘change of paradigm’

In a press briefing following the dissolution of ONCCA farm agency Economy Minister Amado Boudou said the move meant a “change of paradigm” regarding the relationship between the government and the farming sector.

“Creating this entity means not only a change of name but a conceptual change regarding the government’s policies in the farming sector,” he said.

The minister added the new Subsidy Coordination Unit will work on "assuring the domestic supply, improving the offer of farm goods and boosting a balanced development of the sector."
