Independiente crush Peñarol for the Libertadores Cup
Seven time winners of the South American Copa Libertadores, Independiente thrashed Uruguay's Peñarol 3-0 in its debut at the groups round of the Libertadores de América Cup.
Independiente's Parra opened the score only 2' after the beginning of the second half of the game, while his team mate Pellerano netted at 25',
Only five minutes before the end of the match, Silvera managed to score Independiente's third goal.
The match for the Group 8 was held at the Libertadores de América stadium in Avellaneda district.
For the same group, Godoy Cruz defeated Liga Deportiva de Quito last week in Ecuador 2-1.
