Estudiantes beat Deportes Tolima in La Plata
Estudiantes de La Plata defeated Colombia's Deportes Tolima 1-0 at the recently re-inaugurated Estadio Único during the second round of the Libertadores Cup after being crushed 5-0 by Cruzeiro last week.
Pablo Barrientos netted Estudiantes' goal only a minute before the end of the first half of the game.
The match for the Group 7 was held at the first covered stadium in Latin America. On Tuesday, Brazil’s Cruzeiro thrashed the Paraguayan team, Guaraní, 4-0.
Estudiantes played for the first time in the re-inaugurated stadium in La Plata. The team had to play Quilmes’ stadium during the remodelling.
The stadium has been officially re-inaugurated last Thursday and will be the main stadium during the Copa América to be held in July.
