Fire in Oyarbide's offices 'intentional,' Fire dept says
Forensic investigators have determined that the fire that broke out in the offices of Federal Judge Norberto Oyarbide on February 14th was intentional.
Judicial sources explained that the fire department officials involved in the investigation determined that the fire “was intentional” and it may have been started with a match and a flammable substance, quite possibly benzene.
The office in which the fire took place is one storing files from the “Skanska” scandal case or the illegal wiretappings case smearing city Mayor Mauricio Macri.
However, the only damaged materials were about 50 blocks of blank paper stored in an office belonging to Gustavo Russo. According to forensic investigators, the fire failed to damage the documentation from several other open cases.
Authorities are still uncertain of how the perpetrators broke into the offices since the lock did not show any signals of violence.
