Stocks trade lower pushed by unrest in Mideast and Africa
The Merval index of major stocks narrowed 0.6 percent, to 2960.38, pushed down by unrest in the Middle East and Northern Africa, and Wall Street’s holiday due to President’s Day.
The US dollar was trading stable at 4.050 pesos.
Regionally, Brazil’s benchmark Bovespa index was sliding 1.2 percent to 67258.66 points.
