Moderate 5.8 earthquake hits northwestern region
A moderate 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the northwestern region of the country about 43 miles (69 km) southeast of San Miguel de Tucumán, the US Geological Survey reported.
The quake occurred at 3:58 a.m. local time at a depth of 13 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
